Tuhala Witch's Well
In northern Estonia the village Tuhala is famous for Witch's well. Tuhala has Estonia's largest area of porous karst, with several underground rivers and sinkholes. After heavy rainfall or when the snow melts it can boil over. When the volume of water exceeds, water comes out of the well. Over three thousand years Tuhala host one of the most unique natural phenomena in the world, The Witche's Well. Mostly its look totally normal with 2.5 meters deep well, but in rainy season it start blowing up water and floods the entire area. The local people blamed on this phenomenal fortune on harpy or succubus (witches), and said they gather in the sauna below the ground and beat each other with birch branches causing a faction on the surface. People of Tuhala like living in a world surrounded by magic. There are some who claim to have seen burning demons flying over their town, while others still believe in the Estonian God Taara. The perfect describable natural phenomenon, Witche's well remains an attraction of Estonia.
